Just getting started.....
Karl "The Ven Master" is on the road for vacation over the next few weeks so we have a much needed break......wait, no we don't. We have work to do! We are planning for the record. We were going to have an old buddy Trevor engineer the project but we could't lock down a date so we have moved on and took a leap of faith. We have decided on one of the best studios and producers in Seattle - Joe at Orbit. He is giving us a good deal otherwise it wouldn't happen. We have our checklist in order, the dates locked down, deposit set, the duplication package we are going to do and, the number of songs we are going to record. There is still a lot of work to be done. The artwork has to be designed and decided upon and the ever dreaded "name of the record".
Since we want to do this "right" there is a lot of planning and things have to happen simultaneously and quick. It looks like we have pushed the release party back a week to August 15th. We wanted to headline our CD release party at Slims Last Chance but there was an amazing opportunity to open for a reunited Redneck Girlfriend show at El Corazon so, that's the plan.
Joe is a great "pop-Rock" producer and we are afraid of the word "pop"......fuck it, I love the Cars, Weezer, Rentals and Blink 182 records. I ain't afraid to admit it! It is going to sound good. Disco Donnie and The Reverend Adumb Green will be in charge of designing the art, Troy is in charge of keeping the tempo right at all rehearsals until then and Karl is the treasurer at this point but everyone will get more responsibilities as time goes.
On a side note, Rev. Adumb was invited to joint the Big Wheel Stunt Show on stage at the Tacoma Hemp Fest this year, I think they are gonna do a version of "Talkin' bout my generation" by The Who. Stay tuned for more info on that.
